The Pop-Up Recovery System by DeepWater Buoyancy enables direct recovery of measuring instruments installed on the seabed or at mid-water depths. It is used on supports such as mooring lines or tripods, among others.

It is easy to install and remains inactive until it receives an acoustic signal. At that point, it releases a buoy with a 75 m synthetic line (other lengths available), allowing the submerged assembly to be recovered from a vessel. Designed for use with the R500 acoustic release and the ReleaseIt deck unit by Teledyne Benthos.
