The Seapoint Turbidity Meter (STM) is a simple, rugged and easy-to-use analogue turbidity sensor. It offers four measurement ranges: 0 to 25 / 125 / 500 / 750 FTU.
The sensor detects light scattered by suspended particles, generating a voltage output proportional to turbidity or suspended solids concentration. The measurement range can be selected either via hardware (wiring) or software (microcontroller-controlled). Its most common applications include studies of sediment mobility in coastal areas, submarine canyons and deep-water environments, such as mud flows at depths of up to 6,000 metres. Each application may require a specific measurement range. If your application requires a non-standard range, please contact us to determine the most appropriate option.
For optimal and long-term measurement stability, optical sensors can be equipped with Zebra-Tech Hydro-Wiper cleaning brushes.
