SeaDarQ by Nortek is a navigation radar (X-band radar) signal-processing system that enables the user to detect surface structures and track spills in real time. The system comprises an NMEA interface (compatible with radars from several manufacturers), a hardware module for routing radar signals and data from external interfaces (GPS, AIS, gyro), and signal-processing software that allows control of data acquisition and the monitoring of spills or shoreline oscillations. SeaDarQ enables the estimation of the spill area, prediction of the evolution of the slick, and tracking of its trajectory, both from a vessel and from shore. It is an ideal tool for the environmental monitoring of coastlines, ports and waters adjacent to coastal industrial facilities.
